Step-by-Step Instructions for Hawaiian Fried Rice
  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil and coat the pan.
  2. Add diced ham, diced carrots, and peas. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until carrots are tender.
  3. Push the ham and vegetables to one side and scramble the eggs in the center until fully cooked.
  4. Add cooked rice, pineapple chunks, and green onions. Drizzle with soy sauce and stir to combine.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine pineapple juice, ketchup, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Simmer and thicken with cornstarch mixture.
  6. Serve the fried rice with sweet and sour sauce on top or on the side.
