  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the beef brisket dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Optionally, sear the brisket in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. Place a layer of sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and dried thyme.
  5. Place the brisket on top of the onions and pour the sauce mixture over it. Cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours.
  6. Let the brisket rest for 10-15 minutes after cooking before slicing or shredding.
