  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin slice thinly against the grain
Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger freshly grated
Noodles
  • 8 ounces rice noodles, udon, or spaghetti boil according to package directions
Vegetables
  • 1 cup bell peppers chopped
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds toasted optional
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all ingredients and slice the flank steak or sirloin. Chop the bell peppers and carrots, and mince the garlic and ginger.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to boil, add noodles, and cook according to package instructions.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a skillet and sear the sliced beef in a single layer for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  2. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds. Add soy sauce, honey, and water, cooking until thick.
  3. Add beef back with chopped vegetables, cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Mix in the noodles, stirring continuously over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve in bowls, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
