  • 1/4 cup olive oil can substitute with vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced, fresh is preferable but garlic powder works too
  • 2 whole lemons juiced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika smoked paprika is preferred
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano Italian seasoning can be a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes adjust according to spice preference
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • fresh herbs for garnish
  • lemon wedges for serving
  • grilled vegetables or side salad to complement the dish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine 1/4 cup of olive oil, 4 minced garlic cloves, juice from 2 lemons, 2 tablespoons of paprika, 1 tablespoon of dried oregano, and 1 tablespoon of chili flakes in a medium bowl.
  2. Place your whole chicken or chosen protein into a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (around 375°F to 400°F).
  4. Cook the chicken on the grill or baking tray for approximately 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a platter and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Slice the rested chicken and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.
