Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños fresh or pickled
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing for dipping

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Once all the balls are formed, roll each one in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. Refrigerate the cheese balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Bake the cheese balls for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, use habanero peppers instead of jalapeños.
  • You can also substitute the cheddar cheese with pepper jack for an extra layer of flavor.
  • If you prefer a healthier option, try baking them in an air fryer for a lighter version.
