  • 2 cups Beef Broth Chicken broth can lighten the flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Use milk or a non-dairy alternative for a lighter version.

Method
 

Preparing the Meatloaf
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into the prepared dish.
  4. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Making the Gravy
  1. While the meatloaf bakes, heat butter in a skillet and sauté the mushrooms until golden brown.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir, then whisk in beef broth and heavy cream.
  3. Cook until thickened, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.
Serving
