  • 1 medium Apple peeled, any sweet variety
  • 2 tablespoons Sweetener honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper to taste
For the Chicken
  • 4 legs Chicken quarters, thighs or drumsticks
  • 2 stalks Green Onions fresh, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds optional garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a blender, combine soy sauce, mirin, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, apple, sweetener, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Cut small slits in the chicken legs and place them in a zip-top bag. Pour in the marinade, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes.
  4. Air Fry the Chicken: Remove chicken from the marinade, shake off excess, and arrange in the air fryer. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, then enjoy!
