Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken with the frozen mixed vegetables. Add chicken broth and 1 cup of milk, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt and black pepper. Mix thoroughly and pour into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and ½ teaspoon salt. Add melted butter and ¾ cup milk. Stir gently until just incorporated.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the chicken and vegetable mixture, aiming for even coverage.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
