- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease your baking dish with olive oil or butter.
- Gently wipe the portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove stems.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the mushrooms in the baking dish and drizzle the garlic mixture into the gill cavities.
- Add thin slices of butter on top of each mushroom. Bake for about 15 minutes.
- Mix the grated Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Distribute over the mushrooms after the initial baking.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
