Method
 

Preheat and Prepare
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Make the Crust
  1. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Pour in melted butter and stir until resembles damp sand. Set aside 1 cup for topping.
  3. Press remaining mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
Prepare Filling
  1. Toss diced apples with flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Spread apple filling evenly over baked crust, drizzle with salted caramel sauce, and sprinkle reserved crumb mixture on top.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes until topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow bars to cool completely in the pan for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Lift out and slice into squares.
