  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Coconut milk for dairy-free
  • 1/2 cup Chicken or Vegetable Broth Low-sodium recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika can be used
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Chopped, optional swap with dill or tarragon

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the fresh cod fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the cod fillets for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Avoid browning the garlic.
  5. Pour in the broth, scraping the skillet to incorporate flavors. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return the cod fillets to the skillet, spooning sauce over the fish and heat for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges.
