Marination & Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add flank steak to marinate.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together honey BBQ sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, and optional chili powder.
Cooking Process
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear the marinated flank steak for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  2. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add uncooked rice to the skillet, stirring to coat the grains for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth, bring to a gentle boil, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes.
  5. Once rice is cooked, stir in heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Slice the seared steak against the grain, return to skillet, pour BBQ sauce over, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
