- Begin by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add bite-sized pieces of chicken to the skillet, seasoning them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Lower the heat and pour in ½ cup of chicken broth to deglaze the pan.
- Stir in 1 cup of honey BBQ sauce and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, simmering for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 8 ounces of uncooked penne pasta to the sauce, along with enough water to barely cover it. Cover and let simmer for 12-15 minutes.
- Return the seared chicken to the pan and gently stir, heating through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
