Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, rolled oats, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), protein powder, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined and a thick batter forms. You can use a spatula or your hands for this step.
  3. Once mixed, cover the bowl and refrigerate the batter for about 30 minutes to help it firm up.
  4. After chilling, use your hands to roll the mixture into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Place the protein bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate and return them to the refrigerator for another 15 minutes to set.
  6. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
