Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, browning them for 5-7 minutes. Stir in diced onions and minced garlic until onions are translucent. Mix in marinara sauce and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and eggs. Mix until creamy and well-blended. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer the ingredients: meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat and finish with noodles topped with mozzarella and parmesan.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover lasagna with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until cheese is golden. Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
