Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan lightly with butter or line with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined for a thick batter.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and stir gently.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently using a spatula for even distribution.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly to the corners.
- Bake in the oven for 28–32 minutes until the top is lightly golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before lifting out and slicing into squares.
