  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Room temperature
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth Vegetable broth is an alternative
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Add slowly to avoid clumping
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning Enhances flavor
  • 1 tsp Paprika Adds smoky flavor
  • 1 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes Drained, oil-packed best
For Garnish
  • Fresh Basil Torn before serving

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions for 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces, season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken, cooking until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Simmer on low for 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return chicken and add drained pasta. Toss for 2-3 minutes to coat in sauce.
  7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Toss in torn basil before serving.
