Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, toss sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg; spread over the crust.
- Drizzle salted caramel sauce generously over the apple filling.
- Sprinkle remaining flour mixture over the top.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
