Step-by-Step Instructions
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat. Add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes and sauté for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Brush one side of each of the 4 slices of thick white bread with the infused butter.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Place one slice of bread, buttered-side down, into the skillet.
- Crumble 2 ounces of goat cheese onto the slice of bread in the skillet. Add a layer of shredded white cheddar or mozzarella. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of liquid honey over the cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cover the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet, drizzle more honey on top, and sprinkle additional red pepper flakes. Slice in half and serve warm.
