Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8" x 8" baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, peel and mash about three overripe bananas until creamy.
  3. Mix in ½ cup of peanut butter, ¼ cup of maple syrup, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups of rolled oats, ½ tsp of sea salt, and 1 tsp of cinnamon.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Optionally fold in ½ cup of chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan and press down firmly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  9. Let cool for 10-15 minutes, then lift out using parchment paper and cool completely before slicing.
