- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9x5 loaf pan.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted Irish butter and use it to grease your loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together 3 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of fine salt, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of onion powder.
- Stir in 1 cup of shredded Irish cheddar cheese into the dry ingredients.
- Make a well in the center and pour in 1 ½ cups of Irish beer, mixing gently until just combined.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading evenly.
- Drizzle the reserved melted butter over the top and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
- While the bread bakes, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, and mix with 1 tablespoon of parsley, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Brush the warm garlic butter over the bread as soon as it’s out of the oven.
- Allow bread to cool for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
Allow bread to cool completely before slicing for cleaner cuts. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses.
