Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9x5 loaf pan.
  2. Melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted Irish butter and use it to grease your loaf pan.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together 3 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of fine salt, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of onion powder.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of shredded Irish cheddar cheese into the dry ingredients.
  5. Make a well in the center and pour in 1 ½ cups of Irish beer, mixing gently until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading evenly.
  7. Drizzle the reserved melted butter over the top and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
  8. While the bread bakes, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, and mix with 1 tablespoon of parsley, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.
  9. Brush the warm garlic butter over the bread as soon as it’s out of the oven.
  10. Allow bread to cool for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
