Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a high-speed blender, combine the chopped large English cucumber, fresh pineapple chunks, freshly squeezed lime juice, peeled ginger, and fresh mint leaves. Pour in approximately 2 cups of water and blend on high until smooth.
  2. If desired, add pure maple syrup to taste and blend briefly to incorporate.
  3. Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the blended mixture into it. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to strain the juice.
  4. Transfer the strained agua fresca into a pitcher filled with ice and stir gently before serving.
  5. Pour into glasses, adding gin or vodka if desired, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
