Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  6. Dip it into the beaten eggs, then coat it with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Place the coated chicken strips on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  9. While the chicken is baking, mix the honey and BBQ sauce in a small bowl.
  10. Once the chicken strips are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the honey BBQ sauce over the top. Toss gently to coat.
  11. Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
