Prepare and Bake
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar in a medium bowl. Add melted salted butter and vanilla extract to form a sandy crumb mixture.
- Press two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
- Remove the baked crust from the oven and layer sliced fresh strawberries on top. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over the strawberries and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
- Allow the bars to cool completely. Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla, then drizzle over the cooled bars.
