Method
 

Prepare and Bake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar in a medium bowl. Add melted salted butter and vanilla extract to form a sandy crumb mixture.
  3. Press two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Remove the baked crust from the oven and layer sliced fresh strawberries on top. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over the strawberries and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
  5. Allow the bars to cool completely. Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla, then drizzle over the cooled bars.
