Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Can substitute with ground chicken.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed oats can be used.
  • 1 large Egg Flaxseed meal mixture can be used for vegan option.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 medium Onion Shallots can be substituted.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Cilantro can be used instead.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Thyme or basil can be substituted.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin Paprika is a good substitution.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Extra virgin olive oil is best.
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Full-fat Greek yogurt is optimal.
  • 1/2 medium Cucumber Grate and drain to avoid excess moisture.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice White vinegar can substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill Parsley can be used instead.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, finely chopped onion, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Grease your hands with olive oil and roll the mixture into small balls of approximately 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake meatballs for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  4. For the tzatziki, grate the cucumber, wring out moisture, then mix it with Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Once meatballs are cooked, serve immediately with tzatziki sauce on the side.
