Ingredients
  

For the Crostini
  • 1 loaf Baguette you can substitute with any crusty bread.

For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound Shrimp fresh or frozen, peeled and deveined works best.

  • 1 teaspoon Paprika adjust based on your heat preference.

For the Avocado Spread
  • 2 ripe Avocado for a lighter option, consider using hummus instead.
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice if you're out of lime, lemon juice is a fine substitute.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Slice the baguette into ½-inch thick pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over each slice, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  2. While the crostini bake, heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Toss in the shrimp, seasoning them with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for approximately 3-5 minutes, until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, scoop out the ripe avocado and add lime juice, along with salt and pepper to taste. Mash the avocado until creamy but still slightly chunky.
  4. Once the crostini are ready, spread a layer of the mashed avocado onto each piece, followed by a few pieces of sautéed shrimp. Arrange them on a serving platter.
