Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and add 3 cloves of minced garlic, sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the zest of half a lemon, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of dried parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the cod for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Pour the garlic butter sauce evenly over the seared cod fillets and transfer the skillet to the oven.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cod easily flakes with a fork.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with lemon wedges.
