Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 4 cloves of minced garlic. Stir these dry ingredients together until they're well combined, and make a small well in the center. Gradually pour in about 380 ml of water while stirring with a spoon until the mixture starts to form a sticky dough.
- Next, pour in 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter and fold in 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander. Use your hands or a spatula to mix until a cohesive dough forms. The dough should be slightly tacky but manageable; if it feels too thick, add a bit more water until you achieve the desired consistency.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes. Once it’s warmed through, add a teaspoon of oil to the pan, spreading it evenly.
- For each flatbread, ladle two half-spoonfuls of batter into the pan, spreading it lightly into a round shape. Cook for about 1-2 minutes or until bubbles start to form on the surface.
- Gently flip the flatbread using a spatula, cooking for another 1-2 minutes on the other side. Watch for large bubbles to form; this indicates it’s nearly done.
- Once the first flatbread is cooked, remove it from the pan and place it on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding a bit more oil to the pan if needed.
- When all your Garlic Flatbreads are cooked, serve them warm alongside your favorite dishes.
