Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the egg and vanilla until fully incorporated.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture to form a soft dough.
- Shape the dough into small disks, place on the baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool cookies on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Nest Creation
- Melt milk chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Coat chow mein noodles in melted chocolate and scoop onto cooled cookies to form nests.
- Finish by adding pastel candy eggs and colorful sprinkles, and allow to set for 15-20 minutes.
