Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. In your crock pot, combine the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir well until smoothly blended.
  3. Carefully place the seared chicken breasts into the sauce mixture in the crock pot, making sure they are well-coated.
  4. Cover the crock pot and set to cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the crock pot and mix it with the creamy sauce.
  6. Stir in the sour cream for added richness and blend until smooth.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with cheddar cheese and fresh parsley. Pair with rice or mashed potatoes.
