Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine slightly melted creamy peanut butter, sugar, and mashed overripe bananas. Add in the vegetable oil and eggs, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Gently fold in all-purpose flour until just incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Optionally, add banana slices on top.
- Bake for about 55 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a knife into the center.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt more creamy peanut butter in a microwave for about 30 seconds and drizzle over the cooled bread before serving.

Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest bread. Avoid overmixing the flour to maintain a light texture. Store wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature for best flavor.
