Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, and water. Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until creamy. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into the pan. Dollop the cream cheese filling over it, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes. The edges should set, while the center remains soft and slightly jiggly.
  6. Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving, preferably warm.
