- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, and water. Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until creamy. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the pan. Dollop the cream cheese filling over it, then pour the remaining batter on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes. The edges should set, while the center remains soft and slightly jiggly.
- Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving, preferably warm.
