Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, beat the egg in a second shallow dish, and mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a third shallow dish.
Dredge each pork chop in the flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip it into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the pork chop in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded pork chops and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F.
Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired before serving.
