- Melt chocolate by microwaving white chocolate chips and vegetable shortening in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Dip the bottom of a large marshmallow into the melted chocolate and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Dip two more marshmallows in chocolate and stack them on top of the first marshmallow using chocolate as glue.
- Coat the entire marshmallow structure in remaining melted white chocolate for a smooth finish.
- Press candy eyes onto the coated marshmallow while the chocolate is still wet.
- Let sit until the chocolate hardens completely, then dust with powdered sugar and draw faces with the edible marker if desired.
