Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  2. Once toasted, carefully remove the sourdough bread from the heat and allow it to cool slightly—about 1-2 minutes. Generously spread a layer of rich, creamy ricotta cheese over each slice.
  3. Take your fresh, ripe tomatoes and cut them into even slices. Arrange the slices over the ricotta, overlapping as desired.
  4. Drizzle a few drops of extra virgin olive oil generously over the layered tomatoes and ricotta.
  5. For optional texture, sprinkle chia seeds evenly on top of the tomatoes.
  6. Finish your dish by adding a sprinkle of salt and freshly ground black pepper, and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
