  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup bread crumbs gluten-free option available
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
For the Mushroom Sauce
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon parsley for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking pan.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Cooking the Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add sliced mushrooms. Sauté until they are golden brown.
  2. Pour in heavy cream, thyme, and stir until combined. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the baked meatballs to the mushroom sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Garnish with parsley before serving.
