- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture, stirring until well coated.
- Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and white chocolate chips, if using.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, using a spatula or your hands (lightly greased) to flatten it evenly.
- Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
