Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 8 oz each refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it flat in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a solid layer.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish.
  5. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cream cheese mixture, again pressing the seams together.
  6. Brush the top layer of crescent rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for about 10 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar. Cut into squares and serve warm.
