Ingredients

  • 8 large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 16 slices of bacon

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  4. Using a spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, packing it in gently.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary. Place the wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

  • You can also experiment with different types of cheese, such as pepper jack for a spicier kick.
  • If you prefer a healthier option, consider baking them without bacon or using turkey bacon.
