For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Pizza Sauce Marinara or pasta sauce can be used as a substitute.
For the Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Non-dairy cheese alternatives can be used.
For the Toppings
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Bacon (chopped) Optional for a lighter meal.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the wieners in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook them for approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Open the hot dog buns and spread pizza sauce inside each bun.
  4. Sprinkle two-thirds of the pepperoni slices down the middle of each bun.
  5. Transfer each crispy wiener onto the prepared buns directly on top of the pepperoni.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the wieners in each bun.
  7. Add chopped bacon and remaining pepperoni slices over the cheese in each bun.
  8. Return the assembled pizza dogs to the air fryer and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
  9. Remove from the air fryer and let them sit for a minute before serving.
