Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked shrimp and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.                                 

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Serve over cooked rice or quinoa to make it a complete meal.
