Ingredients
Scale
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup diced green onions
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken and cover the skillet with a lid. Allow the cheese to melt for about 2-3 minutes.
Once the cheese is melted, remove the skillet from heat and garnish with diced green onions and chopped parsley.
Serve immediately with crusty bread or over rice for a complete meal.
Notes
For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes when seasoning the chicken.
You can also substitute the chicken with shrimp or tofu for a different protein option.
For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream and reduce the cheese quantity.
