A refreshing summer drink made with ripe peaches and freshly squeezed lemon juice, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced peaches and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, discarding the solids.
  3. Add the sugar to the peach juice and stir until dissolved.
  4. Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  6. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling twist, replace half of the cold water with sparkling water or club soda.
