French Toast Breakfast Sliders are a fun and delicious morning treat that combines the classic flavors of French toast with savory fillings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices of thick-cut bread (such as brioche or challah)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 8 slices of cooked bacon or sausage patties
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Butter, for greasing the skillet

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter to grease the surface.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  4. Place the soaked bread slices onto the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  5. Once the bread is cooked, layer a slice of cheese, a slice of bacon or a sausage patty, and another slice of French toast to create a slider.
  6. Repeat the process until all sliders are assembled. Serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top.

Notes

  • For a sweeter twist, add a tablespoon of powdered sugar to the egg mixture.
  • Substitute the bacon or sausage with sliced strawberries or bananas for a fruity variation.
