A delightful blend of cherry and Earl Grey tea, perfect for a refreshing drink either hot or iced.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose Earl Grey tea or 4 tea bags
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup cherry juice (100% juice)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
  • Ice (if making iced version)
  • Fresh cherries and/or lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the Earl Grey tea. Steep for 5 minutes for a strong flavor. If using tea bags, simply let them steep in the hot water.
  2. Strain the tea into a large measuring cup or bowl if using loose tea. If using tea bags, just remove them.
  3. Stir in the cherry juice and honey until well combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  4. For hot tea, heat the milk in a separate saucepan until warm but not boiling. Slowly pour the warm milk into the tea mixture, stirring gently.
  5. For iced tea, fill a glass with ice and pour the cherry tea mixture over the ice. Top with cold milk and stir gently.
  6. Garnish with fresh cherries or lemon slices if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, use whole milk or a rich non-dairy alternative like coconut milk.
  • Try adding a splash of vanilla extract for an extra layer of flavor.
