Delicious Bonfire Bars that are easy to make and perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract, then mix until the dry ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture resembles wet sand.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
  5. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the crust from the oven and sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the top.
  7. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts (if using) over the marshmallows.
  8. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden and the chocolate is melted.
  9. Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy your bonfire bars!

Notes

  • For a s’mores twist, add a layer of peanut butter or Nutella before adding the marshmallows.
  • Substitute the walnuts with your favorite nuts or omit them for a nut-free version.
