Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground chicken
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
4 hot dog buns
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, sliced
1/2 cup pickles, sliced
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the chicken mixture into four equal patties.
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
While the patties are cooking, in a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey to create a sauce.
Toast the hot dog buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
Assemble the sandwiches by spreading the sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a chicken patty on top, followed by shredded lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and shredded cheddar cheese.
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the chicken mixture or top with sliced jalapeños.
Substitute ground turkey or beef for the chicken for a different flavor profile.
